Kate Merrill is an American journalist who serves as the morning and midday news anchor on Boston-based WBZ-TV. She recently served as a reporter on WNBC-TV and WKRN-TV. Furthermore, her career started as a university intern at WCVB-TV and later on, she graduated and went to New York to report for WICZ-TV and WIVT-TV.
In 1999, she received an Emmy Award for her role in covering the tornado that hit Tennessee. In addition, she was awarded two other awards for her investigative reporting in the same year. During the Covid 19 pandemic, Kate became a victim. She was very sick, but then she got better. She later tweeted that she was at home and recovering in isolation. She wrote:
I’ve been very sick, but luckily I’m getting better. This is no joke and even after a year of being very careful and always wearing a mask and taking it seriously, I was exposed and I was exposed to people I love.
