Kelly Sasso is an American reporter who currently works as a co-anchor of the 4pm weekday news on WTAE-TV since joining the station in 2017. After her education, she attended Hempfield High School. She later joined Point Park University in Downtown, Pittsburgh where she majored in broadcast journalism.
Prior to joining her current station, she worked at Hearts Television as a prime time news anchor. While there, she covered the child abuse that tragically caused the death of a 6-year-old girl. This story earned her huge recognition and also earned her an Emmy Award in 2016. Later in 2017, she joined WATE where she has been ever since. Being a morning reporter, she wakes up early and prepares her traffic bulletins at 5 am and broadcasts her morning show until 7 am.
