Kelsey Peck biography
Kelsey Peck is a distinguished American journalist, currently serving as Assistant Director of News at WMBB News 13 since joining the team in 2012. She is a graduate of the University of Florida with a BA in Telecommunications.
Peck joined the WMBB News 13 staff in 2012 after graduating from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications. His first assignment was to report general tasks, particularly in Jackson, Calhoun, and Washington counties.
Later, Kelsey moved to the morning news reporter in 2013 before moving to the morning anchor desk in 2014. Kelsey has always been interested in news management.
WMBB News Director Tom Lewis stated that things are very different at WMBB since he returned in 2016. He also said that they have increased the morning news to 2.5 hours and added many specials like Hidden History, Hispanic Heritage, Notable Women and Veterans Voices.
He also stated that there has been a big shift in producing news content for their digital platforms that didn’t exist a few years ago. In addition, he said that Kelsey would play an important role in the execution of many of her goals.

Kelsey Peck said she was looking forward to continuing to serve the Panhandle in her new role. She also stated that Hurricane Michael changed things for many people and it was important for the media to keep telling their stories.
On Friday morning, Peck said goodbye to his fans from the morning news. She was scheduled to begin her new duties on Monday, January 6th. In addition to her job, Peck loves to cook, run, and enjoy her role as a first-time mom.
