Kristina Audential’s biography
Kristina Audencial is a Filipino-American journalist who currently works as a reporter and Morning New Anchor at KSWB, Fox 5 in San Diego, California, United States. She joined the station in October 2016.
Audential is a proud graduate of a high school in Singapore. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in communication from University of California, San Diego. Most notably, she started her career behind the scenes.
In 2006, she wrote and produced for ABC’s local San Diego affiliate KGTV. She later continued with KUSI and KSWB Fox 5 as a morning and weekend producer. Ultimately, Audential left San Diego to sign as a general assignment reporter on KREX News Channel 5 in Grand Junction, Colorado. Furthermore, she filmed, edited and produced her own stories.
After her return to San Diego, she worked as an anchor and reporter for UT TV. While there, she was privileged to release her first UT San Diego morning news. She also won her first Emmy Award for her reporting on the station.
After reporting for a period of 2½ years the network changed her role and now has her waking up with San Diego as the morning anchor.
