Kyle Van Noy is a top football linebacker currently associated with the NFL’s New England Patriots. After being selected by the Detroit Lions during the 2014 Draft, the skilled linebacker completed two seasons with the Lions before joining the New England Patriots. Kyle Van Noy was born on March 26, 1991, in Reno, Nevada. Already at the age of eight years, he developed a great interest in playing soccer. He enrolled at McQueen High School, where his soccer career began in earnest. During his time in high school, Kyle led the school team that won the 2008 4A State Championship, maintaining a 14-0 record. Despite his good performance in soccer, Kyle was also active in other sports such as baseball and basketball during high school.

For his college career, Kyle went to Brigham Young University, where he played college football for the school team he joined in 2009. In his first season, he missed out on the game due to a violation of the Honor Code. When he returned the following year, he received Letterman honors while making 38 tackles for the team. In his second year, Kyle had 68 tackles, three interceptions, and 7 sacks and was appointed to the Phil Steele All-Independent First Team as well as the Yahoo Sports and FBS All-Independent Teams.

As a junior, Kyle led the conference in defense after completing 53 tackles, 13 sacks, two interceptions, and 6 fumbles. The following year he ended his college career with a total of 70 tackles in thirteen games and was named All-Independent First Team and All-Independent Defense Player of the Year. Professional Career

When he turned pro in 2014, Kyle declared for the NFL draft where he was selected by the Detroit Lions as the 40th. When he joined the team, Noy signed his rookie contract worth $5.10 million for four years. In his rookie year, he played a total of eight games for the Lions. His rookie season was shortened by an abdominal injury he suffered. The following season he made a comeback with 23 tackles in seven games.
