Lance Reddick is an American actor and musician famous for playing Cerdic Daniels on The Wire, Phillip Broyles on Fringe and Chief Irving on Coach (2014-2020). Most notably, films that have earned him national acclaim are John Wich (2014-present) starring as Charon, David Gentry in Angel Has Fallen, and Guillermin in Godzilla vs.
Talking about his education, he attended the Friends School of Baltimore. As a teenager, Reddick studied music at the Peabody Preparatory Institute and a summer program teaching music theory and composition at the Walden School. Lance also studied classical music composition at the Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester and later earned a Bachelor of Music degree.
In the 1980s, he moved to Boston, Massachusetts. He then attended the Yale School of Drama, receiving a Master of Fine Arts degree in 1994. Following his studies, he landed roles in films and television. He was cast as Cedric Daniels on The Wire and joined the hit ABC series Lost in 2008 playing Matthew Abaddon.
Talking about his music career, he released his debut album Contemplations & Remembrances in 2007. In early 2008, he was cast in a key role in the pilot Fringe. In 2016, he was cast in The Domestics released on June 28, 2018. Later in 2018, he starred in Monster Party. As recently as 2022, he played Albert Wesker in Resident Evil, which was canceled after one season.
