Lauren Glassberg is an Emmy Award-winning American journalist, currently a reporter and deputy co-anchor for the New York City editions of WABC-TV’s Eyewitness News. He joined the ABC affiliate in March 2000 and occasionally stretches out to report major news during its fill-in anchor, often alongside anchors Joe Torres and Bill Ritter, respectively.
Lauren is a proud graduate of Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism. She began her journalism career as a teenager, reporting for Main Street Wire, the Roosevelt Island, NY newspaper.
Before coming to WABC-TV, Lauren starred in and reported on Akron, Little Rock, where she covered the Whitewater scandal and anchored the Saturday morning news. She also anchored and reported in Little Rock on KATV, and prior to that, she was a reporter on what was then ABC affiliate WAKC 23 in Akron, Ohio.
