Lisa Byington is an American journalist who currently works as a television play-by-play announcer for the NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks. Prior to joining the Bucks in September 2021, she was working for NBA Sports as a play-by-play announcer for men’s and women’s soccer during the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
Regarding his education, Byington graduated from Portage Northern High School. Later, she participated Northwestern University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in print journalism. At university, she played basketball and soccer. After completing her undergraduate degree, she earned a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Northwestern University in Evanson, Illinois.
After graduation, she began her career in Alpena, Michigan for WBKB. After two years at WBKB, she left and joined WLNS in Lansing as a reporter. Throughout her career as an anchor, she has also worked as a play-by-play announcer for ESPN, Fox Sports, Big Ten Networks, SEC Network, Turner Sports, FS1, and the PAC-12 Pac-12 Network.
