Nunez is a graduate of Syracuse University, where she majored in digital broadcast journalism with a specialization in African American studies. In college, Lissette interned at WGN-TV as an entertainment intern in Chicago, Illinois. She also worked as a reporter for NCC News in Syracuse, New York between 2012 and December 2014.
