Litsa Pappas biography
Litsa Pappas is an American journalist who currently works as a general reporter for the Boston 25 News. She is happy to be back in her hometown doing what she loves. After six years as a reporter in the South, Pappas joined the Boston 25 newsroom in May 2017.
Litsa got her first job as a reporter at WHSV in Harrisonburg, Virginia, after graduating from Syracuse University. She later moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, where she worked for nearly four years at Spectrum News as a reporter and anchor (formerly Time Warner Cable News).
In addition, Litsa covered several national stories while working in Charlotte, including the riots following the Keith Scott police shooting, the historic vote to remove the Confederate flag from the South Carolina capital after the Charleston Church massacre, historic flooding in Columbia and the Carolina Panthers’ trip to Super Bowl 50.
Pappas will also never forget to cover many campaign appearances in major states during the 2012 and 2016 presidential elections, as well as the national fallout from North Carolina’s controversial ‘bathroom law’.

In addition to covering politics, Litsa took on the role of an education reporter in Charlotte. She covered one of the contentious student relocation schemes in one of the country’s top school districts. She reported on key votes for the district as he moved to remove segregation, increase teachers’ salaries and appoint a new superintendent following the superintendent’s abrupt retirement.
Likewise, after a few years covering education extensively, Pappas discovered a passion for helping students in underperforming institutions. She became a volunteer through Reading Partners and hopes to continue working with Boston’s youth.
In addition, Litsa enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants, traveling, spending time with her family, and cheering for all of Boston’s sports teams when she’s not reporting.
