Liz Dueweke is an American news anchor who currently works from 5 am to 10 am on Q13 News This Morning. She started working at the station in 2014. She was an intern at Fox 2 WJBK in 2005 in Southfield, Michigan and was a freelance reporter and writer for the Real Detroit Weekly for 2 years from 2005 to 2007.
Dueweke has joined Michigan State University and graduated in Theater and General Studies. she graduated in Oakland University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and was a member of the school’s publishing as well as other organizations and activities on campus.
Dueweke worked as a morning anchor in Oklahoma City before moving to Seattle in 2013. The extreme weather she covered was most notable, with live reports of ice storms, flooding, and massive tornadoes. Liz previously covered the auto industry and its impact on the local community in Flint, Michigan during the height of the recession.
Dueweke began her television career as a reporter, anchor and producer in Yuma, Arizona in 2007, covering the US-Mexico border, immigration and presidential visits. She also covered the weather in Yuma, which is one of the hottest cities in the country.
Liz also worked as a freelancer for the Real Detroit Weekly and interned at Fox 2 WJBK. Dueweke began working for TheSpyFM.com and WJRT, Inc. right after graduation.
