Liz McGiffin is an Emmy Award-winning American meteorologist who currently forecasts the weather for NBC4 every weekend on NBC4 Today. Growing up in the Kansas City area, Liz earned a degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of Missouri while working for NBC Station in Columbia, Ohio.
McGiffin is an active member of the American Meteorological Society, currently serving on the Early Career Professions Council. Liz relocated to Columbus from Springfield, Missouri, where she worked as a weekend meteorologist. Prior to that, Liz was a morning and noon meteorologist in Medford, Oregon, and also worked briefly in St. Joseph, Missouri, as a weekend meteorologist.
