Lynda Kinkade is an award-winning Australian journalist and news anchor who currently serves as CNN’s news anchor, based at CNN’s World Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. She began her career in 2002 at Seven Network during her second year at the University as a political researcher.

Lynda began her broadcasting career in 2002, when she joined Seven Network as a political researcher. In 2003, she landed a job in the New South Wales state election, soon publishing her poll of each constituency. Her work was used by several news anchors, reporters and producers during election coverage.
After graduation, Kinkade began working as a traveling reporter for NBN Television, moving to various locations in New South Wales such as Newcastle, Tweed Heads and Lismore.
In December 2004, Lynda joined Nine Network as Deputy Chief of Staff. While on the network, she became a producer and reporter for Today, Nine Afternoon News, Nightline and Nine News Sydney.
However, in December 2008, she resigned from Seven Network as a national correspondent for Today Tonight. In her capacity, Lynda covered the Black Saturday bushfires and reported on the Australia Open and Logie Awards.
She also interviews several notable personalities such as Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and former US Vice President Al Gore. Other celebrities include John Travolta, Rachel Griffiths, Jennifer Hawkins and Toni Collette.
In December 2013, Lynda moved to New York to work as a freelance international correspondent. Months later, she went on to work as an anchor for the weekend editions of CNN Newsroom (CNNI).
In January 2015, Kinkade was confirmed as an anchor and correspondent for CNN. She currently broadcasts the weekend editions of CNN Newsroom and CNN Today. Additionally, she fills in The World Right Now and Connect the World.
