Margo Rae Price is a famous American country singer, songwriter, producer and author. In 2014, she was featured on the list of country artists you need to know. She is well known for her solo album called Midwest Farmer’s Daughter which was released in March 2016. Furthermore, Price has also appeared in various shows like Saturday Night Live, Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown and BBC Radio 6 Music.
Price was born and raised in the small town of Aledo, Illinois, where he played the piano and sang in the church choir. She later attended Northern Illinois University where she learned dance and theater art. However, she dropped out of college in 2003 and moved to Nashville, Tennessee. During her time in Nashville, she worked a variety of jobs including serving tables, installing and teaching children to dance at a YMCA. Price and her husband Jeremy Ivey, who is a guitarist, were members of Secret Handshake, a band that played only political songs. She was later teamed with Buffalo Clover and then Margo and lastly Pricetags.
