Maria Medina is an award-winning American journalist, currently working as a reporter and anchor at KPIX 5 Weekend Early Edition in San Francisco. Previously, she worked at Sacramento-based CBS 13, KOVR-TV as a reporter before being promoted to weekend anchor from October 2010 to February 2015.
While on CBS 13, she covered some incredible stories such as the 2014 Napa earthquake, an active hit on live TV for over nine hours, and exclusively interviewing a convicted serial killer who she discovered was living under a different alias. Additionally, she worked as a reporter and anchor for the Albuquerque-based KRQE News 13/Fox New Mexico from July 2008 to October 2010.
