Marley Kayden is an American journalist who currently serves as the host of “Chicago’s Best” on WGN-TV. Furthermore, she joined the broadcaster in April 2018. Prior to that, she worked as a traffic anchor and reporter at NBC Universal Media for a period of 3 years and 3 months.
Kayden attended and graduated from University of Virginia with a BA in journalism and music. She then obtained her Masters in Journalism from Northwest University in 2013.
While still at the University of Virginia, she worked as an anchor at Wall Street Media. She, however, left the station in March 2009 after working for 10 months. In May 2011, she joined the New Harmony Theater as an anchor and performer. She worked here for 4 months before leaving the station in August 2011.
In June 2012, Kayden joined Medill News Service as a business reporter. However, in June 2013, she left the network, and in April of the same year, she interned at WGN-TV as an on-air news intern. However, after her 3-month internship, she left the network in June 2013.

In late June of the same year, she joined Bloomberg LP as a Spot News Reporter, but left the station in September 2013. Kayden also worked as a theater critic at Chicago Music for 1 year and 4 months. In November 2013, she joined Radiate Media as a traffic reporter, where she covered traffic reports and worked as an anchor, but left the station in October 2016.
She was also a CBOETV correspondent for CBOE in Chicago, Illinois for 3 years and 10 months. After her departure from CBOETV, she joined NBCUniversal Media as a traffic anchor and reporter. Sadly, in April 2018, she left the network to join the current network.
She has been the host of “Chicago’s Best” on WGN-TV since April 2018. When not working, this eloquent journalist can be found traveling and exploring new restaurants. She also loves spending time with her husband and daughter.
