Matthew Dowd is an American political consultant who works for ABC News as a political analyst. During the 2004 presidential election campaign, he worked as chief strategist for Bush-Cheney. In 2006 he also worked as a strategist for former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger during his re-election.

Dowd frequently uses his Twitter account to spread his opinions and views on political, social, and religious issues, most of which have made him the subject of counter-reactions. His competence as a political strategist has been severely criticized after she made a very poor prediction in her sad prediction that Hilary Clinton would win the US presidential elections in 2016 by a larger margin than Obama in 2012.

His words said;

“I think she has about 95 chances to win this election and I think she will have a bigger margin than Barack Obama in 2012. Higher margin. She will win by more than 5 million votes. She’s gonna win a higher percentage. And interestingly, she’ll have a more diverse coalition than Barack Obama, even when you consider the final vote. All the data points in that direction.”

Matthew Dowd Bio.

Matthew John Dowd was born on May 29, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of a mother of a car driver and a primary school teacher with a housewife. Dowd is the third of 11 children, all of whom were raised Catholic. He is of Irish descent.

His interest in politics was sparked by the Watergate Committee hearings in the summer of 1973. He was only 12 years old. Although he was born the son of Republican parents, Dowd began politics as a Democrat. During his studies, he worked as a member of the Senate and as a campaign worker for Senator Lloyd Bentsen’s, D-Tex. He also worked for Texas Vice Governor Bob Bullock.

As a Republican, Dowd helped win the 2004 presidential election for incumbent President George W. Bush. From 2007, however, Matthew began to disagree with Bush on a number of issues, including his involvement in the Iraq war and his handling of Hurricane Katrina.

Dowd joined ABC’s Good Morning America as a political commentator in December 2007. He also appears on other flagship programs for the station, including Nightline and This Week.

Dowd is also an entrepreneur and has founded a number of successful companies, including the strategy consultancy Vianovo and Public Strategies. He later sold both to pursue other ambitions.

In 2017, he published a book entitled “A New Way”: Embracing the Paradox when We Lead and Serve”.

Dowd has taught seminars at Harvard, Stanford, Yale, the University of Texas Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, and was a Fellow at the Institute of Politics at the University of Chicago. He has served on the boards of non-profit organizations such as Seton Family of Hospitals, a Texas-based Catholic non-profit health care system.

Married/Divorce, Children

Dowd was not as lucky with his personal life as he was with his career. He has suffered two divorces and lost an infant. His first marriage produced three children. The oldest of them, Daniel Dowd, served in Iraq as a language specialist for the army.

Dowd’s second marriage to a certain Nikki produced twin girls, one of whom died in hospital two months after birth. The death of his infant seemed to put a strain on his marriage, as he separated from his wife shortly afterward. His surviving daughter is named Josephine. Matthew Dowd has 4 children in total.

On page six you will find the full extent of the affair.

During their relationship, Matthew and Maria were seen in public looking all loved. In 2017, however, Maria, who works as a special host and correspondent for NBC News, hinted on the station’s Today show that she was “single,” People reported.
