Matthew McClellan is an American journalist who currently works as a weekend morning anchor for Fox 13 News, reporting live for Good Day Tampa during the week. McClellan moved to Tampa Bay in 2019 after spending two years working in Indianapolis, where he served as a weekend anchor for WRTV-TV while reporting on weekdays in the field.
Matthew received a bachelor’s degree in broadcasting from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. In 2014, McClellan won a Florida Associated Press Award for his reporting on the deaths of dozens of boys at Dozier reform school in Florida.
McClellan also worked at WRIC-TV in Richmond, Virginia, where she was a reporter and anchor developing high-impact features for broadcast and online. Matthew recounted the widespread deconstruction of Hurricane Matthew and extensive coverage of the 2016 presidential election, including the selection of former Richmond Mayor Tim Kaine as a vice-presidential candidate.
