Russell Rhodes is an award-winning American journalist who has currently co-anchored Fox 13 News since joining the station in 1994. Rhodes is the anchor of Good Day Tampa Bay every weekday of Fox 13 Tampa Bay. Furthermore, he is currently affiliated with WTVT.
Through his more than 30 years of experience in the television business, Russell has spent 20 years working with Fox 13 New in Tampa Bay. Along the way, he worked on television stations in Oklahoma, Texas, Minnesota and Florida.
Russell was born and raised in Paris, Texas. From an early age, he loved the news as he describes it;
“I was that weird kid who always had to be home at night to watch Walter Cronkite. Just something about the news that I’ve always loved. I always dreamed of being the one to tell the story.”
