Mckenna Grace is an American actress and singer who began acting professionally at the age of six. Her early roles include the Disney XD sitcom Crash & Bernstein and Faith Newman in the soap opera The Young and the Restless.
In 2013, she made her acting debut, playing Sydney in the television pilot Joe, Joe & Jane. She later returned in the Disney XD series Crash & Bernstein. She also had a recurring role as Faith Newman on The Young and the Restless.
In 2015, she landed a recurring role on the CBS series CSI: Cyber. She also played the role of Daisy in the sci-fi thriller Independence Day: Resurgence, released on June 24, 2016 and directed by Roland Emmerich. In 2017, she played a lead role in Marc Webb’s drama film Gifted as child prodigy Mary Adler, starring opposite Chris Evans.
Most notably, she gained recognition for her performance in the role, being nominated for a Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Young Performance. Additionally, she learned to skate to portray the younger version of Tonya Harding in the biopic I, Tonya, describing it as the “most challenging role” she has ever taken on.
She later played the significant role of Juliet in the horror film Amityville: The Awakening. Grace starred as Emma Grossman in the 2018 horror drama film The Bad Seed. She also starred as Judy Warren in the movie Annabelle Comes Home in 2019. In the same year, she appeared in Captain Marvel as a younger version of the titular character.
She also appeared as the younger version of Sabrina Spellman in the second season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Most recently, she played Phoebe in the 2021 film Ghostbusters: Afterlife, in addition to the role of Esther Keyes in the fourth season of The Handmaid’s Tale.
After her music career, Grace signed with Photo Finished Records in 2020 and in November 2021 she released her debut single “Haunted House”.
