Miranda Devine is a New York columnist and Fox News contributor. She also works for Australian media as a columnist for the Daily Telegraph and a contributor to Sky News. Previously, Devine is the author of the book Laptop from Hell: Hunter Biden, Big Tech, and the Dirty Secrets the President Tried to Hide.

Born in Queens, New York, she grew up in Tokyo and Sydney and attended Loreto Kirribilli School in Sydney and Sacred Heart International School in Tokyo. Additionally, Devine holds a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University (USA) and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Macquarie University.

Devine began her journalism career as a reporter and writer for the Boston Herald. She joined The Daily Telegraph as an assistant editor, crime reporter and columnist after returning to Australia to live in Sydney. Previously, she worked at the British tabloid The Sun and the British newspaper the Sunday Times in London. Devine’s columns on U.S. politics were recently published by the New York Post, and she has made appearances in local media outlets to promote her articles.

Additionally, Devine traveled to Afghanistan and Iraq with Australian Defense Minister Brendan Nelson and Australian Defense Force chief Angus Houston, where he interviewed United States General David Petraeus, Commander of the Multinational Force. It previously printed twice a week in Fairfax Media’s newspapers The Sydney Morning Herald and The Sun-Herald, and appears in Melbourne’s News Limited Daily Telegraph, Sunday Telegraph, Sunday Herald Sun and Perth’s Sunday Times.

Afterwards, Miranda joined the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization in its textile physics division, where he worked for four years. Despite this, Miranda is known for her conservative point of view on various social and political issues. She introduced the term “deacon” to explain the Conservatives who remained loyal to Tony Abbott after the Liberal Party expelled him in support of Malcolm Turnbull in April 2016.
