MJ Acosta is a Dominican-American journalist who currently works as a reporter for the NFL Network. She grew up in Washington Heights, Manhattan, New York City before moving to Miami, Florida. In Florida, she attended Miami Sunset Senior High School. She later attended Barry University where she graduated in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in communication.
After her career, she was an NFL cheerleader for the Miami Dolphins in the 2012 and 2013 seasons. Prior to joining Telemundo 20, she was a sports reporter at WPLG-TV, an ABC affiliate in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. She had been covering the San Diego Chargers of the NFL as a reporter on Telemundo 20 since she joined the station in 2016.
