Patrick Hayes is an American journalist who currently works as a reporter and multimedia journalist at ABC15 Arizona. Most notably, he joined the station in July 2021 after reporting in New Mexico and Texas.
Before all that, he spent a few years working in his hometown of Yuma. While there, he worked behind the scenes and on camera. Additionally, he spent a year working for the District Attorney’s office in Las Cruces, NM as a public information officer.
As a reporter, he covered the COVID-19Spaceport America pandemic and various elections. He also traveled to the US-Mexico border to cover different topics. Some of the stories include the drug trade, the border wall, the immigration crisis and deported veterans.
In 2019, he covered the Walmart shooting in El Paso. He also covered President Donald Trump’s visit to Sun City.
