Perry Noble is an American author, preacher, and senior pastor at Second Chance Church. He is the founder of NewSpring Church in Anderson, South Carolina. He founded the church in January 2000. Noble attended and graduated from Anderson University in the class of 1994 with a degree in communications.
In January 2000, he founded NewSpring Church in Anderson, Southern California. He started a new church in Anderson in 2018 and opened as a planted church in January 2019 under the name Second Chance Church.
During a Christmas Eve service in 2014, he sparked an incident about his use of what appeared to be the word nigger. After a sermon he delivered on Christmas Eve, controversy arose over his words at the beginning of his message. Perry made a statement claiming that there was no Hebrew word for “command,” which in fact there was. A lot of pressure was put on him and NewSpring Church for this mistake. Most notably, he later apologized.
