Rachel Levine is an American pediatrician and four-star admiral in the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, currently serving as the United States Assistant Secretary of Health since March 26, 2021. In addition, Rachel is a professor of pediatrics and psychiatry at the Penn State School of Medicine.
Previously, she served as General Physical of Pennsylvania from 2015 to 2017, eventually serving as Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Health from 2017 to 2021.

In 2015, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf appointed Admiral Rachel to be Pennsylvania’s General Physician and she was later confirmed by the state Senate.
