Richard Peter Stanislav Krajicek is a Dutch former professional tennis player. He is also the author of several sports books and the founder of The Richard Krajicek Foundation. Peter is currently the director of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam since 2004. In addition, he won the men’s singles championship at Wimbledon, becoming the only Dutch player to have won the title.

Krajicek was born and raised in Rotterdam, Netherlands. He started playing tennis at the age of four and won the Netherlands under-12 and under-14 national championships twice. As a teenager, he won the Wiltshire Open in the UK after defeating Steven White in straight sets in the final. His professional career began in 1989, when he won the first high-level singles title in Hong Kong.

In addition, he also reached the semifinals in his games in places like Australia, France and Italy. Prior to that, he was listed among the top 16 players in the world. In 1996 he competed against champion Michael Stich and won before facing Sampras in the quarterfinals. Peter Sampras is the winner for three consecutive years in the past.
