Robin Meade is a seasoned American television news anchor who is currently the main news anchor for HLN’s morning show; Morning Express with Robin Meade. The former Miss Ohio began her broadcasting career with local stations in the state of Ohio. Meade joined HLN in 2001 and has since won a regional Emmy Award.
Meade began his career as a reporter at WMED-TV in Mansfield, Ohio. She then went on to work as an anchor and reporter at WCMH-TV in Columbus, Ohio, and at WJW-TV in Cleveland. After getting a job at WSVN-TV, Robin moved to Miami, Florida to serve as the anchor of WSVN-TV’s Today morning news in Florida.
A rising star, Robin joined WMAQ-TV, an affiliate of NBC Chicago, where she anchored the morning news. In addition, Meade co-hosted the weekend news as well as worked as the station’s general correspondent. During his service with the NBC affiliate, Robin covered the 1996 Olympics, including the special report on the Centennial Olympic Park bombing.
Robin then joined HLN, anchoring network coverage of Operations Enduring Freedom as well as Operations Iraqi Freedom in 2003. She is currently based at CNN’s world headquarters in Atlanta, where she hosts the Morning Express with Robin Meade on HLN in weekday mornings alongside Bob Van Dillen, Jennifer Westhoven, Melissa Knowles and Mike Galanos.
On June 21, 2011, Meade released a country music album dubbed Brand New Day on the Somerset Entertainment 2011 label. She also released her single, “Dirty Laundry”, to country radio.
