Ron Plants is an American journalist who currently works as an anchor and weekend reporter at WGRZ-TV in Buffalo, New York. At the station, he handles general reporting and Tipline stories for Channel 2.

Originally from suburban Philadelphia, Ron graduated from temple university. However, he currently considers western New York his home. Ron joined WGRZ just before Halloween and that might explain his perspective and unique observations he shared during his Channel 2 weekend newscasts.
