Sal Castaneda is an American journalist who works as an anchor and reporter for KTVU, a FOX affiliate based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He joined KTVU in 1999. His current role is to serve as the station’s traffic anchor for the morning show and general reporter for the midday and evening news.
Prior to joining his current station, he worked as a traffic, news and sports reporter at Metro Networks in San Francisco. He appeared on different radio stations and, in the early 1990s, worked as a disc jockey at an alternative San Francisco radio station called Live 105.
Sal gained fame for his long tenure as a Bay Area traffic, news and media transport reporter. He attended the University of California, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government.
