Biography of Stephen Lang
Stephen Lang is an American actor famous for his roles in films such as Manhunter, Gettysburg, Tombstone, Gods and Generals and Don’t Breathe. Outside of those roles, he has an extensive Broadway career and even received a Tony Award nomination for his role in The Speed of Darkness. Furthermore, he won the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Role for his performance in Avatar (2009).
Born in New York, he attended elementary school in Jamaica Estates, Queens. In high school, he attended George Ryan Junior High School in New York. He then attended the George School for his high school studies, graduating in 1969. Lang then attended Swarthmore College, where he graduated in 1973 with a degree in English Literature.
In 2009, Lang appeared in the Michael Mann film Public Enemies as FBI agent Charles Winstead. In the same year, he narrated the audiobook Road Rage. The following year, he did the narration for “The Gettysburgh Story: Battlefield Auto Tour”. He recently appeared in Avatar: The Way of Water as Colonel Miles Quaritch.
