Steve Doocy is an American journalist and political commentator who currently serves as a co-host for FOX News. He mostly appears on FOX & Friends with fellow co-hosts Ainsley Earhardt and Brian Kilmeade. Prior to FOX News, Doocy worked as a reporter and co-host on NBC’s Wake Up America. He also spent several years appearing as a co-anchor on a flagship CBS station called WCBS TV since 1996. Doocy even worked as a live Times Square reporter for ABC’s New Year’s Eve with Dick Clark.
Doocy was born in the suburbs of Algona, Iowa, but spent his entire life in Industry, Kansas, USA. He grew up the son of a sales and construction worker. Steve also attended several Kansas elementary schools in Russell, Salina and Industry due to the nature of his father’s work. Eventually, he was able to complete high school in Clay Center, Kansas. He then attended and graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism.
Steve was the first playful record to feature on the school’s student-oriented radio station called KJHK radio at 90.07 Fm. From there, Doocy went on to work for various TV stations in Des Moines, Wichita and Kansas City. He then landed his first major role on a successful TV station called WRC based in Washington DC
Doocy then worked in the WRC for almost three or two years and even made a name for himself. His popularity and TV charisma landed him the opportunity to work as a morning news anchor for WSCBS in New York City. He also hosted ABC’s Rockin’s New Year’s Eve show Dark Clark before leaving WCBS. Steve finally joined FOX News in 1996. He started his current job as a co-host on FOX & Friends in 1998, which he still is to this day.
