Bill Sammon is a renowned American journalist who has worked at Fox News Washington as Vice President, Newspaper Columnist and Deputy Managing Editor. He is also an author. Bill joined the station in August 2008. He previously worked for the Washington Examiner and also as a White House Correspondent for The Washington Times.
Born in Ohio, United States. He attended Saint Ignatius High School in Cleveland, Ohio. Thereafter, he enrolled at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Bill was hired by The Washington Time and where he covered the story of illegal fundraising by the Teamsters and the Democratic Party. The story led to him being nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for his investigative reporting. Earlier, Sammon was the first reporter to arrive in Tallahassee for the post-election standoff.
Additionally, he was a frequent guest on Fox News shows such as Special Report with Brit Hume, Fox News Sunday, and Hannity & Colmes. On February 27, 2009, Sammon was promoted to Vice President of Fox News and Washington Editor-in-Chief. Sammon also wrote for The Plain Dealer in Cleveland, where he spent two years uncovering widespread corruption in the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections. In January 2021, Sammon announced that he was retiring and his role would be taken over by a staff member.
