Tahera Rahman (née Tahera Shireen Rahman) is an American presenter who is known for becoming the first full-time Hijabi Muslim presenter in the United States on February 8, 2018, for WHBF-TV. Before becoming a presenter for WHBF-TV, she worked for the network as a producer.
Rahman participated Loyola University Chicago, where she graduated, earning a BA in journalism and international studies. Furthermore, she was the first Muslim to hold the position of editor-in-chief of Loyola’s weekly student newspaper, the Loyola Phoenix.
After graduation, her first job as a producer and presenter was on the daily Radio Islam show on WCEV 1450 AM in Chicago, produced by the Sound Vision Foundation from 1999 to 2019.
