Ted Koppel is a British-American journalist known as the anchor of Nightline from 1980 to 2005. He is the Managing Director of Discovery Channel, where he presents and produces feature-length programming examining major global topics and events for the largest cable network in the United States. .
Furthermore, he worked for ABC for two decades as a news anchor and was named one of the serious interviewers of American television. Furthermore, he covered the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963. During his career, he was able to interview many political figures and leaders like Corazon Aquino, Yasser Arafat, Nelson Mandela, Gary Hart and Donna Rice.
