The NBA player was born on June 24, 1996, in Middletown under the full name Luke Douglas Kennard and is said to have gone to Franklin High School in Ohio, where he was an active member of his school’s basketball team. Luke Kennard’s skill in his game during his time at Franklin High earned him the title of Ohio Gatorade Basketball Player of the Year twice, first in his junior year and later in his senior year.

After high school, he went to Duke University, where he continues to shine in his career, having reportedly scored 11.8, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in a single game in his freshman year. His second year was an improvement over his first year, when Kennard scored 19.5 average total points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in one game, earning him the first-team All-ACC title.

NBA Career At Detriot Piston 

Due to the success of his college career, Luke Kennard announced that he would give up his last two years of college and enter the 2017 NBA Draft, which turned out to be a step in the right direction as he was drafted by Detroit Pistons in 12th place overall. On October 20, 2017, he made his NBA debut against the Washington Wizards, scoring 11 points and scoring 2 steals within 18 minutes from the bench.

In the same year, Luke Kennard recorded his first career start against the Indiana Pacers on December 15, 2017, in which he also scored 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists in their winning game.
