Stanley Johnson (born Stanley Patrick Johnson) anda British author and former politician. He is the author of books on environmental and population issues. He was a Conservative MP for Wight and Hampshire East from 1979 to 1984 and is a former official at the World Bank and the European Commission.
Boris Johnson, leader of the Conservative Party and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Jo Johnson, MP from Orpington and former Minister of State for Transport, and Rachel Johnson, editor, journalist, television presenter and author, are among their six children.

he was born to Osman Kemal (later Wilfred Johnson) and Irene Williams (daughter of Stanley F. Williams of Bromley, Kent and Marie Louise von Pfeffel).
His paternal grandfather, Ali Kemal, one of the last interior ministers in the Ottoman Empire government, was assassinated in 1922 during the Turkish War of Independence. His father was born in 1909 in Bournemouth, Hampshire, and his birth was recorded as Osman Wilfred Kemal. Osman’s Anglo-Swiss mother Winifred died shortly after giving birth.
Ali Kemal returned to Turkey in 1912 after Osman Wilfred and his sister Selma were raised by their English grandmother Margaret Brun and adopted her maiden name Johnson, Stanley’s father, therefore becoming simply Wilfred Johnson.
Stanley’s maternal grandmother was born to Hubert Freiherr von Pfeffel (born December 8, 1843) and his wife Hélène Arnous-Rivière (born January 14, 1862).
Furthermore, Pfeffel was born to Karl Freiherr von Pfeffel (born Dresden 22 November 1811; died Munich 25 January 1890) by his marriage in Augsburg on 16 February 1836 to Karolina von Rothenburg (born Frankfurt on 28 November 1805; died at Frankfurt on 13 February 1872), herself said to be the illegitimate and natural daughter of Prince Paul of Württemberg by Friederike Porth.

Stanley Johnson Education
Johnson watch outded Sherborne School in Dorset. When he was a grad student reading Greats at Exeter College, Oxford, participated in the Marco Polo Expedition with Tim Severin and Michael de Larrabeiti. They traveled by motorcycle and sidecar from Oxford to Venice and then on to India and Afghanistan.
In addition, exploration led to the publication of Severin’s 1964 book Tracking Marco Polo, with photographs by Larrabeiti.

Boris Johnson
Boris is a British politician who has served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and leader of the Conservative Party since July 2019. He has been a Member of Parliament for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015 and was an MP for Henley from 2001 to 2008.
Stanley Johnson’s work and interests
He has worked at the World Bank, has a keen interest in the environment and was the head of the Pollution Prevention Division at the European Commission from 1973 to 1979. He is a trustee of the Gorilla Organization and a board member of Plantlife International.
Additionally, in 1983, he received the RSPCA’s Richard Martin Award for Exceptional Services to Animal Welfare, and in 1984, he received the Greenpeace Award for Exceptional Services to the Environment. He is an ambassador for the UNEP Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals, based in Bonn, Germany.
In addition, Johnson is the author of several books dealing with environmental issues and nine novels, including The Commissioner, which was made into a 1998 film with John Hurt. In the year 1962, he won the Newdigate Poetry Prize.
Stanley Johnson’s Recent Activity
In the 2005 general election, Johnson ran for the Conservative Party in the Teignbridge constituency. He came in second after Richard Younger-Ross of the Liberal Democrats.
For a time, starting on 26 May 2005, he wrote a weekly column for The Guardian’s G2 section and continues to write for various newspapers and magazines, often on environmental topics. He was one of the first regular presenters of the talk show The Last Word on Channel 4’s More4 channel, and made an appearance on Have I Got News For You on May 7, 2004.
Additionally, on May 5, 2008, it was highlighted that Johnson hoped to be selected to run for his son Boris’s parliamentary seat in Henley by the Conservative Party. However, on May 29, it was reported that the local Conservative party had selected three local people as possible candidates. On May 30, local councilor John Howell was selected to fight the election.
He wrote a memoir, Stanley I Presume, which was published in March 2009.

Having supported the Remain campaign during the 2016 EU accession referendum, in October 2017 he spoke out in support of the UK’s departure from the EU, stating that “the time has come to rescue” and citing the approach and attitude of the European Union. Johnson said his son Boris Johnson’s comments that Muslim women wearing burqas look like “mailboxes” and “bank robbers” did not go far enough and that criticism of the comments were accusations created by political opponents of Boris.
In October 2018, Johnson said that regardless of the solution to the border on the island of Ireland after Brexit, if the Irish “want to shoot each other, they will shoot each other”.
