André Bernier is a well-known American meteorologist who currently serves as a weekday night weather forecaster for Cleveland’s WJW-TV. Bernier has been with the network since February 1988, when he started Cleveland’s first local news show. He won two Emmy Awards for his weather forecasts.

With the patient help of several mentors, such as WBSM’s Stann Lipp, Dick Stevens, Jim Loomis and journalist Jim Phillips (who is still heard on WBSM).
Additionally, Bernier left New England after graduating to take his first job as a weekend meteorologist in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on KGAN, the main station in East Iowa at the time (known as WMT-AM-FM- TV).

Bernier moved further to Minneapolis in 1985, where he worked at WWTC-AM (the first commercial AM radio station in the United States to experiment with an all-weather format), Northwest Airlines (as a forecaster of transatlantic flights), and eventually , KARE-TV, Minneapolis, where he worked with his wife, Sally, during the weekday morning news.
