
Steve Paulson biography
shad Paulson is an American journalist and meteorologist who works for KTVU-FOX 2News in San Francisco. He specialized in the weather industry after meeting a news director who suggested him about the weather. They met when he went to apply for an internship at KHSL in Chicago.
Steve worked as a chief meteorologist in Denver for KMGH. Here he covered tornadoes, blizzards and snow. Prior to that, he worked for WBBM-Channel 2 in Chicago and learned about the lake’s effect that snow and winter were brutal.
While he was in Santa Rosa, he gained knowledge about the Bay Area climate and experienced an El NiƱo year between 1982-1983. Steve then went to KICU-Channel 36 n San Jose, but was later fired after the station eliminated the weather.
This led to Paulson joining an on-air host for San Jose Sharks Hockey. After this was all over, Paulson became unemployed and decided to return to his Monterey meteorology career at KMST.
Steve attended Earlham College, where he graduated in 1981 with a bachelor’s degree and in 1983 with a master’s degree. He later joined the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Wisconsin and graduated.
