Alex Lehnert is an American meteorologist, reporter and meteorologist who currently works at KMSP FOX 9 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She joined the station in July 2018. Previously, Lehnert worked as a reporter and weather forecaster from 2016 to 2018 at Sinclair Broadcast Group in Fresco, California.
From an early age, Lehnert knew she wanted to be a meteorologist. Upon graduating in University of Colorado, she began to walk this path to achieve her dream. Alex began her career in Casper, Wyoming, where she served as a reporter, anchor, editor, producer, and weather forecaster. From there, she moved to Fresno, California, as a reporter and weather forecaster. Additionally, Lehnert won awards for her work on stories and was named Employee of the Year while working in Fresno.
During his free time, Alex likes to spend quality time outdoors, weather permitting. She and her puppy Fin enjoy paddle boarding, camping, hiking and cross-country skiing. During the winter season, Lehnert volunteers for the Courage Kenny Ski program in Hyland. In addition, she also spends a lot of time experimenting in the kitchen and painting.
