Anthony Macari is an American meteorologist who currently works as a digital weather producer and meteorologist at WJAR. Before returning to Rhode Island, he worked at AccuWeather, producing graphics and working behind the scenes for their national cable weather broadcasts.
He grew up in Johnston and graduated from Mount St. Charles Academy. It’s been a dream to be home with family and friends anticipating the time for NBC 10. Following a childhood passion, he graduated from Lyndon State College in atmospheric science. Anthony got involved with the weather broadcasting side after an internship at WLNE-TV in Providence.
Most notably, his first job after graduation was as a morning weather forecaster at WAGM-TV in Presque Isle, Maine. While in “The County,” he got busy predicting numerous snowstorms while also reporting and recreating in the area.
