Bree Smith is an American journalist who works as a news meteorologist for News Channel 5.
Previously, she was a professional actress in film and on stage in New York. Prior to joining News Channel 5, she was a weekend weatherman for the KSDK in St. Louis.
For five years, she worked on tracking storms, historic floods and tornadoes. She also worked with Al Rocker on the Today show. In Baton Rouge, Bree worked for the WVLA as a weekend weatherman. As an intern in Florida, she acted on WPLG-TV.
In 2015, she was the feature contributor to Today Parenting Team. During her career, she was nominated for an Emmy Award. She was awarded a Weathercast Certificate of Merit by the Missouri Broadcasters Association.
Smith attended Southern Methodist University, where he majored in Theater Performance. During the 2004-2005 hurricane season, God forced Bree to look for weather.
