Brittney Shipp is an American meteorologist who works for NBC10’s First Alert Weather Team. Currently, it predicts Monday through Friday nights. Prior to coming to NBC10, Brittney began her profession as a weekday morning weather reporter and KYMA-TV reporter in Yuma, Arizona.

She then moved to work at KTVK-3TV in Phoenix, Arizona, where she was a weekend weatherman and special reporter. However, Brittney has worked as a weather anchor for four national morning shows: NBC’s Early Today and MSNBC’s Morning Joe, First Look and Way Too Early.

Shipp is a weatherman on NBC10’s First Alert Weather Team. Currently, she lives forecasts Monday through Friday nights. Brittney returned to NBC10 after spending two years as chief meteorologist at KRON-TV in the San Francisco Bay Area. However, she is happy to be back serving in the Greater Philadelphia area and making an impact in the community.

A two-time Emmy-nominated journalist, Brittney received a bachelor’s degree in International Development Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. She also received a Certificate in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University. Having combined her passion for early childhood education and meteorology, Brittney wrote and published the children’s book, The Meteorologist in Me. She has shared her book with over 35,000 students, including international audiences in Cuba and Australia.
