Bryan Busby biography
Bryan Busy is an eight-time Emmy Award-winning American meteorologist who has worked at KMBC9 since 1985. He is also the Chief Meteorologist for Chiefs Fox Football Radio Network and NewsRadio 980 and 88.1 FM, KMBZ.
Bryan also worked at Carter Broadcasting as chief meteorologist and in computer systems as marketing, R&D and partner. At KCFX-Radio, KFKF and KTVI, he served as a morning radio meteorologist.
Bryan went to Saint Louis University in 1978 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1985. His interest in the weather began in Cleveland, Ohio. He started as a TV weatherman at age 17.
At KMBC-TV, he created newscasts; Earth Station, Bryan Goes to School, Guaranteed Weather, Weather-To-Go and Instant Weather Network. He was chairman of the Board of Broadcast Meteorologists of the National Chapter of the American Meteorological Society (1997-1998). Bryan also won US Patent #5943630 for his weather display system.
