Clay Ostarly is an NWA certified meteorologist awarded by the American Associated Press and currently works as a midday weather forecaster and morning traffic reporter at WOWT NBC Omaha. In March 2019, he joined WOWT’s First Alert Weather Team.
Ostarly grew up in New Orleans and spent much of his career in Roanoke. In 2011, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in atmospheric science from University of Louisiana at Monroe. At the institution, he worked as an intern, weekend weatherman and multimedia journalist for KNOE 8 News, a dual-affiliate CBS/ABC TV station.
Prior to joining WOWT, Clay worked as a weekend weatherman at WFXR-TV, a Fox-affiliated television station in Roanoke, Virginia, from February 2017 to March 2019. He also worked as a weekend weatherman for the KSLA News May 12, 2013 to June 2016. .
