Dan Skoff is an Emmy Award-winning Chief Meteorologist who currently works as Chief Meteorologist at KNWA, FOX 24 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, United States of America. It can be seen on Fox 24 at 9pm weekdays at 5pm, 6pm and 10pm, and on Fox 24 at 5pm on weekends.
Since childhood, Skoff has been interested in the weather. Everyone in his family would flee to the basement when a storm was approaching, but he would peek out the top-floor window or climb onto the roof to get a better view.
Dan became the chief meteorologist for the KNWA inside June 2006. He is a member of American Meteorological Society and the National Meteorological Association. He is also the proud holder of the AMS Television Seal of Approval. Skoff received his CBM (Certified Broadcasting Meteorologist) and AMS certifications. Skoff was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but feels completely at home here in northwest Arkansas. When a tornado approached 400 meters from his home when he was eight years old, he decided he wanted to be a meteorologist.

Dan began his broadcasting career in 1998 with CBS affiliate KWTV/Oklahoma City, where he worked as a professional media storm tracker for three years, warning the public about severe weather threats. Skoff and his family love living in the beautiful state of Arkansas. He experienced all the varied types of weather that the Natural State has to offer during his time as a meteorologist. The largest tornado outbreak in Arkansas history on January 21, 1999, covering the disastrous Hurricane Katrina as it made landfall north of New Orleans, and the winter storm that gave most of Arkansas a white Christmas in 2004 are among the most notable weather events he worked on.

Chasing down storms and capturing spectacular weather movies is one of Dan’s favorite things to do. Skoff has encountered more than 90 tornadoes since his first chase in 1996, including the devastating storms that hit Oklahoma City in 1999.
Dan enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids (Callie and Cade) in his spare time. He also enjoys playing and watching almost all sports, especially when the Sooners and Hogs are in action.
