Dave Bohman is an American journalist from Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He is widely recognized for working as an investigative reporter for WPTV news based in West Palm Beach, Florida. Previously, he worked as a reporter for Greater Scranton-based WNEP News from 2010 to 2020. Dave is also known for covering various reporting based on corruption, crime, politics and public health issues. He even worked for WTSP News for several years before joining WNEP News.
Bohman was born and raised in the small town of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He attended Phillips Academy from 1973 to 1975 and Governor Dummer Academy, where he graduated in 1975. Dave then enrolled at Syracuse University in 1976, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in broadcast and communication journalism in 1980.
Bohman started his career as an assistant writer for WKEF News and WRGT News in 2007. He was assigned to work as a field reporter for KRQE from 2008 to 2009. From there, Dave joined the news team at WDTB News as an end anchor week. He was able to report on various public health and politically related news topics that increased his popularity and credibility as a broadcast journalist.
Bohman then landed opportunities with WPTZ and WCTI before joining WNEP News in 2010. During his time at WNEP News, Dave covered several famous newscasts like 2020 Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders and also covered rock star Edie Money. Dave joined WPTV in 2020 as an investigative reporter. He has won several awards and nominations, such as the State Award for Broadcast reporting deadline in 2007.
