Eric Manges is a renowned American meteorologist who currently serves on WITI Fox6 News as an anchor and weather reporter. He joined the FOX6 Weather team in September 2019. He is excited to be back in the Midwest and closer to home.
Manges grew up in Rochester, Minnesota, and attended school at Iowa State. He’s a sports enthusiast and he’s a Vikings fan, and above all, he respects all teams, just some more than others.
Before coming to the Midwest, Manges worked in Des Moines, Iowa, and more recently in Tyler, Texas, where he saw all kinds of weather firsthand, from hurricanes to tornadoes. He is nerdy in any extreme weather situation. But there’s no climate he likes more than the 70’s and sunny skies.
Plus, as a sports fan, Manges keeps up with everything from college to pros. Basketball, football and baseball are his bread and butter, but he also enjoys hockey. Most of all, he loves the outdoors. Hiking, camping, water skiing, snow skiing and in general being active are just the way he’s always been. In his lifetime, Manges has been to over 25 national parks and hopes to visit them all when he kicks the bucket.
