Lydia Camarillo is an American journalist who currently works as a morning anchor on KGUN 9 On Your Side. Along with Mark Charter, Camarillo is a co-anchor of Good Morning Tucson. In February 2020, she started working at the station.
From 2012 to 2019, she worked as a morning and lunch anchor/reporter on KOLD-TV News 13, a CBS affiliate. She worked at the station on several projects that highlighted community members, as well as serving as a family locator for children in an orphanage. Camarillo also worked as an intern for KTAR 92.3 FM, KTVK and KPHO from CBS 5.
She has received several awards throughout her career, including the Hearst Radio Reporting Award and the Meredith Cronkite Fellowship in 2012. Lydia also worked as a volunteer at Cronkite NewsWatch En Espanol, where she did voiceovers and translated articles written into Spanish.
