Hayden Nix is an American meteorologist currently working at KARK 4, Little Rock as a weekend weatherman. Nix joined the Arkansas Storm Team in February 2017.
Previously, Hayden served as morning weather forecaster at KTXS News in the Abilene, Texas area from August 2015 to February 2017, after being promoted to weekend weather forecaster from August 2014 to July 2015.
Additionally, Nix was a weather intern at KATV Channel 7 News, Little Rock from June 2012 to August 2013. His roles included forecasting for the Little Rock area; add weather data to the show; creating graphics; and updating social media channels.
Hayden graduated from Rison High School, enrolled in Mississippi State University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology with an Emphasis in Broadcasting and a minor in Communication. Additionally, Hayden has earned the prestigious National Weather Association Meteorologist Seal of Approval.
Nix’s fascination with the weather started early. “I love the weather. It’s my passion, and I also love serving people,” she says. “That’s why this job means so much and excites me because I can do both at the same time.”
