Jamie Kagol is an American meteorologist and reporter for 12 News, serving as a weatherman and weekend reporter. Kagol joined the station in November 2019 and makes predictions across all shows and platforms. Kagol brings two decades of forecasting experience to the station’s meteorological team, having covered severe winter and summer conditions in various climates as well as wall-to-wall coverage of tropical storms, hurricanes and tornadoes.
Prior to Jamie joining 12 News, he previously worked at WEYI/WSMH NBC 25/Fox66 in Flint, MI, where he was Chief Meteorologist. Furthermore, he also served as a morning weather forecaster on WFTX Fox 4 in Cape Coral, Florida. Early in his meteorological career, he served as chief meteorologist for KIFI, ABC affiliate Local News 8, in Idaho, as well as chief morning and noon meteorologist for KEYV/TV 12, the duopoly of CBS/Fox in North Mankato.
